2007 Public Events

• On May 23, 2007, The Partnership for Effective Peacekeeping hosted a roundtable and panel discussion titled "The U.S. in International Peacebuilding: UN Integrated Missions and the Development of U.S. Stabilization and Reconstruction Capabilities" at the Center for Strategic and International Studies. The guest speakers were Espen Barth Eide, the Deputy Minister of Defense for the Government of Norway; Ambassador John Herbst, Coordinator of the Office of Stabilization and Reconstruction in the U.S. Department of State; and James Dobbins, the Director of the International Security and Defense Policy Center at RAND National Security Research Division.
