RI sends memo to Congressional Appropriators re: Peacekeeping funding
Refugees International (RI) urges Appropriators to provide sufficient funds in the FY11 SFOPS bills to strengthen peacekeeping operations in key conflict regions around the globe. RI provides recommendations for the following accounts: Contributions to International Peacekeeping Activities (CIPA)andPeacekeeping Operations (PKO), which includes funding for the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPO), Somalia, Sudan, the DRC, and Chad.
