Feingold Resolution: CPA/Sudan

On March 4, 2010, the Senate unanimously passed S. Res. 404, a bipartisan resolution urging greater U.S. and international engagement to push for full implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) in Sudan, credible elections in April 2010, and protection for civilians against rising violence. UNMIS mention:Page 6, Line 11[The Senate] urges the United Nations Security Council to direct and assist the UNMIS peacekeepers to better monitor and work to prevent violence in southern Sudan and to prioritize civilian protection in decisions about the use of available capacity and resources;
